INCREASING THE ELASTICITY OF MULTITASKING MACHINING USING TOOLING FOR TOOLS AND WORKPIECE CLAMPING IN A CNC MACHINE TOOL

The article presents rules for designing a device for fastening tools and machined parts to a CNC machine tool. Suggested tooling was used on machine tools already working in machining industry. Those machine tools can be elements of Flexible Production Systems. Presented solutions facilitate the application of CNC machine tools in low-volume and piece production.

A FRAMEWORK OF ERP SYSTEM EVALUATION OF PROJECT DRIVEN ENTERPRISE: A CASE STUDY

Nowadays enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems are worldwide a standard solution implemented in a great number of manufacturing companies worldwide. The implementation of an ERP system is performed to integrate business processes, allocate company’s resources efficiently and provide important data for decision support. Implementing an ERP system is expensive and time-consuming. Therefore a great number of research activities are focused on key success factors of ERP implementations. But what does a successful implementation of ERP system mean? If an ERP project was completed according to the schedule, the budget was not exceeded and the scope was realized, it means that the implementation was successful? Implementation of an ERP system is a long-term undertaking, and not only a short-term project that is finished just after the system installation. Especially for a project driven enterprise that realizes engineer-to-order production, the evaluation should encompass a long period of time. In the article a methodology based on ERP data analysis and end users’ satisfaction is proposed. This research is based on a real data, extracted from ERP system of a polish company that realizes prototyping production in the area of machine tools construction.

DIGITAL FACTORY – THEORY AND PRACTICE

The paper focuses on the research & development of the Digital Factory solutions for industry. The developed methodology and solution of Factory Mock Up (FMU) is presented. The results of research and development cover design of assembly system, its processes, simulations model, ergonomic analysis etc. In the paper are presented the solutions developed in the framework of co operation with industrial partners like Volkswagen Slovakia, Thyssen Krupp – PSL, Whirlpool. The advantages, restrictions and way of utilization of Digital Factory solutions are also shown in the paper.

DIGITAL FACTORY SUPPORTED BY SIMULATION AND METAMODELLING

This paper presents the results of research done at the University of Žilina and SLCP Consulting on the area of Digital Factory. The paper focuses on research of support tools e.g. computer simulation and metamodeling in the framework of Digital Factory. The chosen results of research are presented in the paper. The theoretical assumptions and developments were validated on the chosen production systems.

DECISION SUPPORT TOOL FOR PROJECTS PORTFOLIO PROTOTYPING

Constraint Programming (CP) is an emergent software technology for declarative description and effective solving of large combinatorial problems especially in the area of projects portfolio prototyping. The paper deals with multi-resource and multi-criteria problem in which more than one shared renewable resource type may be required by manufacturing operation and the availability of each type is time-windows limited. The problem belongs to a class of NP-complete ones. The aim of the paper is to present a knowledge based and CP-driven approach to resource allocation conflicts resolution framework.
Proposed framework stands behind a methodology aimed at task oriented DSS tolls designing. The Portfolio Project Prototyping System designed due to this methodology provides a prompt and interactive service to a set of routine queries
stated both in straight and reverse way. Multiple illustrative examples are discussed.
