PROJECT MANAGEMENT SUBJECT TO IMPRECISE ACTIVITY NETWORK AND COST ESTIMATION CONSTRAINTS

The new approach to project planning assuming soft links between activities and imprecise cost of activities execution is considered. In that context, the method allowing one to estimate the duration and the cost of project execution is proposed. The illustrative example emphasizing the advantages of the approach proposed is enclosed.

MODEL OF THE FLEXIBLE SYNCRONOUS PRODUCTIVE LINE WITH REDUNTANT TECHNOLOGICAL CELL

This paper introduces the mathematical model of operating the flexible syncronous productive line (FSPL) of multifunctional CNC machines, that includes one redundant multifunctional CNC machine which can take over functions of every FSPL machine. The graph of FSPL state, relations and equations used to calculate the reliability and the productivity were shown. Maple – the software used for reliability and productivity calculations and modelling as well as the mathematical results were presented.

COMPUTER AIDED CONFIRMING ORDERS OF ONFIGURABLE PRODUCTS – CASE STUDY OF DATA PREPARATION

According to requirements of the market a great number of small companies are forced to offer a wide product variety and often to respond to the market with customized solutions. At the same time, fast delivery is often a key to win orders. Recent developments in Information Technology (IT) made available also for small companies a class of software tools called product configurators. This paper presents a method of confirming orders for configurable products, focusing on data preparation for IT systems. The method enables efficient management of a large number of product variants. The empirical evidence suggests that, in order to exploit the full potential advantages of product configuration, changes in the organization and support IT systems are needed. This paper reports a case study of the implementation of a product configuration software in small and medium (SME) manufacturing enterprises. The example of the manufacturing roller shutter was chosen.

IFS APPLICATIONS SOLUTIONS FOR THE AGILE ENTERPRISE

Main purpose of this article is to present selected functionalities if integrated management system IFS Applications.
IFS Applications are the state-of-the-art applications suite designed to meet modern business pressures and needs. The IFS Applications suite is a full clientserver Graphical User Interface (GUI) system making full use of Object Oriented development techniques. The IFS  system will be able to provide a modular, flexible solution that will satisfy your business systems needs utilising a combination of the modules illustrated in the IFS Tower diagram.

APPLICATION OF HURWITZ – RADON MATRICES IN SHAPE REPRESENTATION

Computer vision needs suitable methods of shape representation and contour reconstruction. One of them, invented by the author and called method of Hurwitz-Radon Matrices (MHR), can be used in representation and reconstruction of shapes of the objects in the plane. Proposed method is based on a family of Hurwitz-Radon (HR) matrices. The matrices are skew-symmetric and possess columns composed of orthogonal vectors. Shape is represented by the set of nodes. It is shown how to create the orthogonal and discrete OHR operator and how to use it in a process of shape representation and reconstruction. MHR method is interpolating the curve point by point without using any formula or function.

PRACTICAL IMPLEMENTATION OF COMPUTERIZED PRODUCTION MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEM IN A PRODUCTION COMPANY

The paper presents the possibility of the realization of the practical implementation of computerized production management information system in a production company.It also introduces the possibility of practical implementation system program and the actions executed during the implementation.

FUZZY LOGIC IN RATIONALIZATION OF PRODUCTION SYSTEMS ON THE BASIS OF SIMULATION PROJECT

The present paper presents a systemic approach to foundry management. Thanks to production process modelling and simulation techniques, an attempt was made to synthesise many interconnected devices and numerous manufacturing stages into one production system. The sheets of multi-criterion evaluation were prepared, where criteria and variants were assessed by means of subjective point evaluation and fuzzy character evaluation. The paper presents an analysis example of finishing activities of castings realized in foundry and in cooperation.
