Instructions for authors

  1. The journal "Applied Computer Science” publishes original papers written in English.
  2. The published papers paper must concern problems of computer applications in production engineering, economy and management, technology or biomedical engineering.
  3. The paper should be prepared using journal paper template (download: *.pdf, *.dotx, *.docx) - please use styles included in the template.
  4. The paper main requirements:
    • Format: MS Word file (doc, docx).
    • List of authors: please write first names in lowercase, surnames in uppercase (e.g. Albert EINSTEIN, Marie SKLODOWSKA-CURIE, Wilhelm Conrad RONTGEN). Also for each author please add ORCID number.
    • Abstract of maximum 250 words; no citation; description of: primary objectives, research design, methodology, main outcomes, results and the conclusions.
    • Keywords: minimum 4-6 most important nouns that capture the essence and describe the main topics of your research.
    • Section structure: Introduction – The Proposed Method/Algorithm (optional) – Method – Results and Discussion – Conclusion.
    • References section: minimum of 15 references primarily, minimum 60% - journal papers. Please use tools such as Zotero, Mendeley, or EndNote for reference management and formatting, choose the APA 7th style.
    • The paper should not be shorter than 8 and longer than 24 pages.
    • Units of measurement should be presented simply and concisely using System International (SI) units.
    • Submissions do not following journal formatting requirements will be rejected straight off.
  5. Submitted papers must not have been published elsewhere and are not currently under consideration by another journal published by any other publisher.
  6. The submitting author is responsible for ensuring that the article’s publication has been approved by all other co-authors.
  7. The authors certify that there is no conflict of interest with any financial organization regarding the material discussed in the manuscript.
  8. The author receive an acknowledgment of the submission which officially establishes the date of receipt.
  9. The Editor Board informs the authors about the progress of assessment and publication processes. The publisher will do everything possible to ensure prompt publication.
  10. By submitting the article, authors declare that they are aware of the processing fees and if the article is accepted for publication - will cover the fee.
  11. The Editorial Office reserves the right to abridge and adjust the manuscripts.
  12. Authorship of the paper should be limited ONLY to those who have contributed substantially to the work.
  13. Guest authorship and ghostwriting is unacceptable and will be retraced should any detected cases be exposed, with the academics being reported to their institutions.
  14. The content of the article is the ultimate responsibility of the contributor. Accordingly, the Publisher and the Editorial Board accept no liability whatsoever for the consequences of any inaccurate of misleading data, opinion or statement.
  15. All articles published in Applied Computer Science are open-access and distributed under the terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License , which permits unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are credited.
  16. Unfinished submissions will be deleted after 30 days without activity.
